Hart partners with IBM Watson AI XPRIZE

Orange County company Hart supports global teams developing AI technologies.

ANAHEIM (December 2016) — Industry leader Hart, a medical software technology company, is a proud partner of the IBM Watson AI XPRIZE, a $5 million competition, challenging teams globally to develop and demonstrate how humans can collaborate with powerful AI technologies to tackle the world’s grand challenges.

As a partner of the IBM Watson AI XPRIZE, Hart has committed to nominating members of the community to be expert resources and mentors for the competition and competing teams. Additionally, Hart is offering its developer platform and certain data sets free of charge to the competing teams.

Registration closes Jan. 19, 2017, for this four-year competition. With annual milestone competitions in 2017 and 2018, the IBM Watson AI XPRIZE focuses on creating advanced and scalable applications that benefit consumers and businesses across a multitude of disciplines. The solutions will contribute to the enrichment of available tools and data sets for the usage of innovators everywhere.

Rather than set a single, universal goal for all teams, this competition invites teams to each create their own goal and solution. The goal is to accelerate adoption of AI technologies and spark creative, innovative and audacious demonstrations of technology that are truly scalable. The top three finalizes will compete for the grand prize at TED 2020.

AI technology is integral to Hart’s mission of furthering health care as a service in today’s patient-driven landscape and will continue to be important as the company improves how people, insides and outside of the health care industry access, engage with and interpret various health data.
