Tiffany & Co.

Circulating: RUBEDO by Tiffany & Co.

This year Tiffany & Co. celebrates its 175th anniversary, and in anticipation of the milestone, it created a rosy new metal, called rubedo, designed to have the appeal of gold, silver and copper, all rolled into one. I was granted a preview of the new metal — and the Tiffany 1837 designs which will feature it — for my feature in the March/April issue of Jetset Magazine. Read moreRead more

Circulating: Smooth Sailing

The same issue of Jetset Magazine which included my “Heavy Metal” jewelry article — the same issue with the effervescent Katy Perry on the cover — also featured my article “Smooth Sailing,” about traversing the crystal blue waters of the Whitsunday Islands off the coast of Australia.

Adjacent to the Great Barrier Reef, and known for calm waters and white beaches, the Whitsundays comprise a playground for yachting devotees and outdoor enthusiasts. Read moreRead more

Circulating: Heavy Metal

I had a lot of fun — too much, probably — curating jewelry for the article called “Heavy Metal,” included in the January/February 2012 issue of Jetset Magazine, featuring the one and only Katy Perry on the cover.

Of the nine individual pieces included, every single one is glamorous, edgy and irresistibly “rock ‘n’ roll.” Read moreRead more

Circulating: City of Influence

Florence, Italy, ranks among the most beautiful and culturally influential cities in the world — which is why I was so thrilled to get to traipse through its neighborhoods and the surrounding Tuscan countryside for a week this past July.

My eight-page article covering some of the things I experienced while I was there has been published in the latest issue of Jetset Magazine, which also features the perpetually handsome Patrick Dempsey from Grey’s Anatomy on its cover, along with a story on the actor’s successful turn as a race car driver. (True story: He owns and drives for Dempsey Racing.)

Wait, where was this post headed?

Oh right, Florence … Read moreRead more

Circulating: Northwest Retreat

Have you ever been to Jackson Hole, Wyoming? Rain or shine, there’s no shortage of things to do or see there, and I’ve outlined some of your options in a feature called “Northwest Retreat,” published in the September/October 2011 issue of Jetset Magazine.

In fact, I’ve got your whole itinerary already mapped out: Stay at the ultra-luxe Amangani resort (there’s no place like it) on a butte overlooking Jackson; enjoy meals at the Snake River Grill, Rendezvous Bistro (recently visited by Sandra Bullock, Ryan Reynolds and co.), and Trio An American Bistro; do a little (or a lot) of shopping in Town Square; stop by the National Museum of Wildlife Art and Mangelsen Images of Nature Gallery; and receive a tension-relieving massage at the Spa at the Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole. I have an article in the September/October 2011 issue of Jetset Magazine called “As Good As Gold,” featuring pieces of gold jewelry that are worth their weight, plus a whole lot more, because they were made using recycled gold and responsibly harvested gemstones.

Spotlighted designers include: Amber Marie Bently, alkemie, Dawes Design and Ruff&Cut. Read moreRead more
