Circulating: 50 Unique Journal and Diary Apps
Combining two of my favorite things — writing and my iPhone — I contributed an article to iPhone.AppStorm that spotlights 50 different journal and diary apps.
The roundup, published today, features apps for people who want to record thoughts and memories on the go — but these aren’t apps for just any kind of note-taking. I included only those that were created with the idea of a genuine digital journal in mind — and let me tell you, some of these developers got pretty darn creative. Read more

For those of you who dream of having your own personal DJ, or already like the Genius feature in iTunes, Moodagent is an alternative. The resulting playlists created by Moodagent are tailored perfectly to match your mood, depending on how high or low you’d like the following Moodagent levels: sensualness, tenderness, joy, aggressiveness and tempo. Your playlists can be adjusted on the fly, saved and replayed and shared via social media. Read more
Circulating: Google Translate: Understand the World
I put my German skills to good use in my review of the Google Translate app for iPhone.AppStorm.
Knowing full well the many complexities involved in any language, I’m always dubious about software that designed to deliver accurate translations. However, I really liked Google Translate and found its results to be impressive.
The app can translate between 57 different languages, either by voice recognition as you speak (or as someone else speaks), or by text as you type. Also very cool — the app talks! Meaning, it can vocalize translations for you or whomever you’re trying to communicate with. Read more
