Simply Wood Rings
I recently discovered Simply Wood Rings, which are created from salvaged wood and other environmentally friendly sources. The rings are made in a studio in Chicago according to a process which maintains the natural structure of the wood, drawing strength from its grain, rather than cutting against it as you see with many other wooden rings. Scented nail polish? Why didn’t someone think of this sooner? I recently wrote about Betsey Johnson’s Too Too Scented Nail Colour for myCosmeticBag. The fabulous fashion icon designed the hot pink nail lacquer for summer and scented it with her flirty Too Too fragrance. Read more

Circulating: RUBEDO by Tiffany & Co.
This year Tiffany & Co. celebrates its 175th anniversary, and in anticipation of the milestone, it created a rosy new metal, called rubedo, designed to have the appeal of gold, silver and copper, all rolled into one. I was granted a preview of the new metal — and the Tiffany 1837 designs which will feature it — for my feature in the March/April issue of Jetset Magazine. Read more

JewelMint
If you’re looking for a little retail therapy for yourself, or if you’re in search of a gift for a jewelry-loving lady, I’d recommend JewelMint, a refreshingly affordable collaboration between actress Kate Bosworth and stylist Cher Coulter.
If you remember my post about StyleMint, the concept is the same. You take a quiz to determine your style preferences (classic, edgy, romantic …) and then JewelMint displays your best matches every time you sign in. Read more
Circulating: Heavy Metal
I had a lot of fun — too much, probably — curating jewelry for the article called “Heavy Metal,” included in the January/February 2012 issue of Jetset Magazine, featuring the one and only Katy Perry on the cover.
Of the nine individual pieces included, every single one is glamorous, edgy and irresistibly “rock ‘n’ roll.” Read more
Circulating: Unlock Your Closet With Cloth
I recently reviewed an app called Cloth for iPhone.AppStorm that makes it possible for you to save and share photos of your outfits. It’s a great tool to help you remember which of your looks you like best.
For every photo you take, you can assign it to a category, such as Work, Vacation, Evening, Event or Everyday. This means all your work clothes can be found in one (virtual) place, all your vacation clothes in another, and so on. Just think how much easier this could make the task of packing for your next trip. Read more

Read on for the details on how to help and how to RSVP. Read more
StyleMint Magnolia T
It finally happened — I broke down, caved in to peer pressure, and jumped on the StyleMint bandwagon. (I don’t really mean the peer pressure part. Who am I kidding — it was all me.)
I used one of the “new members only” promo codes last month to buy the Magnolia T. (It’s shown at left in blue, although I bought the black version. Because 90 percent of the time I’m wearing either black or red. See photo at right.)
The packaging was a little unexpected … My tee (which StyleMint likes to write as “T”) arrived plainly wrapped in brown grocery-bag-like paper — a much more eco-friendly alternative to the Tiffany & Co.-colored JewelMint boxes and their trappings.
And the shirt? Perfection. Read more
